Credit Where Credit Is Due

Post by terry93004 » Sat Mar 06, 2021 10:10 am

I'd like to give a shout out to Screener 19 ... all of us who submit to listings dread the email that says, "Your critique(s) for listing # S210225AP are now available for viewing." Instead of one that says "Congratulations!" We know it's a Return, right? Well, I've had a bad run the past month or so but after 9 years of TAXI I know this can happen and I have to keep on keeping on. All this to say that it easy to dislike the Screener after putting so much work in the songs. I really really worked on this one and hoped against hope that it would make the cut. It didn't. But through gritted teeth I reread the review several times and felt that the Screener got it right. The comments (positive and negative) were correct. I think the new format TAXI has developed for the reviews is a great improvement on what they had before. And doggone it, Screener 19, I'm gonna get a Forward from you sometime soon :)

Well, Terry - even though this is only from an old lurker in The Peanut Gallery - yours is a good and refreshing report & attitube about pressing on;
not blaming someone else, or hoping to change the company's method of doing & running their business.
Good luck on finding the right collab partner for the genre & parts you want to improve. IMHO - that's the noble approach;
and likely to be your ticket to more success.
Cheers.
Your mileage may vary. :P

Thanks, Peter! That was the whole point - we need to be able to soberly consider the critiques - good or not so good.
