Re: Faith Based Songs
i hope there are other TAXI members who are willing to help out a newbie. My desire at TAXI is not only to advance my giftings and network but also to help others who are just beginning their music journey. All of us started with nothing or very, (like me who only had a good voice and harmony ability, signing 3 part a Capella hymns with twin sisters at nursing homes in the late 80's) My journey has been extremely challenging with great health issues, but has taught me empathy & a strong desire to help others. Habitually practicing random acts of kindness is my passion, even as I pursue my music and wriiting endeavors!
Hello. I went to your page and listened to your songs. You have a nice voice and potential:)
Here are a few suggestions to get you started:)
1. NJ and NY has racialist msuic ads. Start out finding a guitarist or keyboardist to work with.
2. Invest in voice lessons. (I tarted with a classic opera and later jazz instructor to develop range and strength.
3. Think about getting a guitar or keyboard yourself and earn to play a few chords
$. Find a local studio and book an hour or so to get clear recordings
Most important, if seeking a serious music careen, (that's why you joined TAXI), remember that it is an investment, may sot you a sacrifice, but in the long run is amazingly rewarding!
I delivered phone book for 5 ears while battling Lyme Disease and later TMJ Dystonia. It was VERY hard and very expensive to record and release albums, but what a JOY!
Hope this helps! God Bless.
