Transfer 1/4 " open tape reel to .aiff or .wav

Can anyone recommend where to transfer 1/4" open tape reel recordings to .aiff or .wav ?

Your best bet is to call around to local production houses (or radio and TV stations?) to see who has the equipment you need. And BTW is the 1/4" tape half-track or quarter-track? There were format wars going on even in the dark ages of audio... ;)

OK, I found 2 places in Los Angeles area and 1 in Las Vegas that can do the transfer. They have multiple 1/4" tape machines that read/play 1/2 track or 1/4 track. I will find out when I get to them which mine is. Thanks for your help
