Overall Feedback Please

Post by DBarnett » Sun Jun 13, 2021 12:56 pm

Howdy again Friends!
Not looking for feedback on my overalls, I can't wear them on the golf course....I know

I'm working on building up a stash of Swamp Rock, seems to be what I'm good at
If you have the time and inclination to give this a listen and comment I would muchly appreciate it

"Gator Taggin"

Thanks!

Sounds like just the right 'fit' with your collection of these... hope to read that you've got the entire 'album' signed up.
Cheers.

I like it. And congrats, I saw your last one got forwarded! I like the harmonica and banjo thrown in, but I'm not really familiar with this genre. I especially like the groove you had going toward the end with just one note on the bass, simple but very effective. What kind of harps do you use? I've been working on learning with Hohner Marine Band harps.

I used a Hohner Special 20 in the Key of A on this one
I do like the Specuial 20's though a friend of mine recommends the Lee Oscars which I haven't tried
Blues Harps by Hohner are good too

Cool, good to know. I have a Blues Harp and a Special 20 because I wanted to try different models out as I got the keys I thought I would need. Interesting idea to build up some kind of library in a genre that works for you. I've been writing for any genre I thought I had any chance of being able to put together a decent track. I've gotten close, but no forwards yet. One track just wasn't mastered loud enough, so I'll be watching that.

Keep going Kenny, you'll get there

I'm still working on "getting there"

I think that the route you're taking is fine

I just wanted to do this collection for me for fun and hopefully profit :D

Who knows, I could get distracted tomorrow lol

Nice work as always Dave! The harmonica, the banjo and that bass are cherry on top to a cool sounding, solid riff (and groove). I also love that you threw that cowbell in there :)

Good luck with the rest of the album! I have a feeling you will bring us some good news down the line :)

Dirty jeans i like ...proves one works. Sittin in em right now after workin on my dozer. Like the feel of this. Banjo at 48ish sounds good but I think you could mix up those notes a bit. ha ha Bass and drums carry a lot of weight. like your stuff
Thankfully, while growing old is compulsory, growing up remains optional!
