It takes about 1 minute to transfer 1gb to my external SSD drive and probably just as long to go direct to my other computer.

If you make 2 tracks per week, and they need on average 5 alt mixes then you've just added a needless 16hrs to your production time over the year.

Okay, well a modern PC with an NVME drive will boot up in under 30s . Workflow is key when you have a lot of music to make, I have macros to shave time off certain DAW tasks too.
