S210710JN screener 309

Post by jazznjesus » Thu Jul 22, 2021 10:45 am

Hello, I am pretty frustrated about this particular recording and am considering giving up. I'd love to hear something that actually was forwarded for this "Old Swing" listing. Comments state it is marketable, but the mood isn't right. Unfortunately, the 3 songs listed as samples were different jazz swing styles. One was Cab Calloway and another was a Basie tune sang by Joe Williams. I based my song on the Basie tune as it was a blues shuffle with a big band. I've been at this off and on for 7 years and getting nowhere. Feel like I'm just wasting money at this point as I hired a great sax player to record the parts and continue to use my son who is an amazing pro trumpet player.
I'd love some advice. "Sunrise Shuffle"

309 is tough to please for sure

Did you know that Taxi list all the forwarded tracks on their blog ?

https://blog.taxi.com/forward

Some members make their tracks private so you will only be able to listen to the public ones although sometimes you can also find them on Google

I like this type of music (I did a 5-song Crooner CD).
This track sounds like mono mix (I like hearing mono mixes, too) - is/was that intentional from the start?
Cheers.
