I was intrigued by some of your images. I took the liberty of rearranging a bit.... might still be too cryptic/poetic (one of my issues too). Keep or sweep!

(v) The candle prayed beside me
ministering to my needs
its secret (message)
cascading down my wall
pushing (back) against midnight
flickering through my fears

(pre) What happened?
The (flame) had no reply.

(ch) Conversations left behind in perpetual rewind
(echoing in the night)
visions (speak of pain) in perpetual rewind
(is this how it will always be)
(haunted by memories)
in perpetual rewind

(v2).... (where you show what happened to give context (what is the memory))

(pre) What happened?
The (flame) had no reply.

(ch) Conversations left behind in perpetual rewind
(echoing in the night)
visions (of the past) in perpetual rewind
(echoing in the night)
(oh, is this how it will always be)
(haunted by memories)
in perpetual rewind

(Br) Not everyone gleans truth (from the shadows on) the wall
(don't) expect some kind of power to transform it all
(but someday sunrise will chase away the gloom)
(one day soon)

Conversations left behind in perpetual rewind
(echoing in the night)
visions (of the past) in perpetual rewind
(echoing in the night)
(oh, I'm not always going to be)
(haunted by memories)
in perpetual rewind

Hi guys,

A big thanks to NMN, irthlingz, songmaster, and hummingbird for posting comments.

I appreciate hummingbird rearranging it. That gives me another perspective. :)

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. It has been awhile since my original post, so I wasn't really expecting to hear anything. I spent the summer taking care of family business.

I will try thinking through this song again.

I've been working on my production skills since I first tried this song.

Best,

Wendy Landers
