Yeah... HA - when was that...? almost 50 years ago?! :? 8-) :P

The only projects that I've worked on that required charts (parts written out by someone other than me) were for 5 Crooner songs that had a 3-piece horn section in the 7-piece ensemble.

Two other times, I hired help to chart the melody to original Irish Trad tunes - where there were sight-readers involved (though they probably didn't need it).


Most musicians these days work off of charts using the Nashville Numbering System.
Exception: my Jazz musician buddies: they write out everything... and then improv over the top.
