Listings are not clear!

Post by fretman » Fri Aug 13, 2021 2:59 pm

https://www.taxi.com/listings/S210802BG

I just got a submission returned because "Although the listing might not have been completely clear about it, they are looking for original music only."

Not completely clear? No where, anywhere does this listing say anything about wanting original music. Makes me mad I wasted my time on this. Grrr...

Not helpful.

Is there a way to contact Taxi to ask about this for future listings? I can't trust what they're saying.

The lesson is this :-
For future reference submit ONLY original music UNLESS the listing or client explicitly states otherwise.

It was just assumed that you should know this as it has legal implications.

Hey... You can always contact Taxi if you have a question or concern... memberservices AT taxi dot com.

But you should know that unless a listing specifically says "covers" or "cover versions", it always has to be original material. I think the screener could have phrased it better, explaining basically what I just said (and SubRivers too) instead of making it seem like the listing wasn't clear.

Deep breath. We all make mistakes and learn.

Ok, Ok

I've settled down some. There will always be more opportunities.

Thanks, everyone.
