Congrats, Mark! Thanks for sharing. I love seeing these kinds of posts and I have no doubt that you'll start to see some substantial growth in these numbers soon. :)

Congratulations Mark! I wanted to ask you how many placements takes to get to this amount of money after 5 years?

Well you certainly have been through some dark times, and taken many beatings along the way, but the best pick themselves back up and keep going.
You are in the same league as the big hitters, even if it does seem like they are taking all the glory, while you are scrapping for every little win you can get.
But anyway, that's enough about Villa

Our stories look quite similar, and I kinda gave up last year and just released some music on Spotify that I wanted to make without trying to fit it to a listing.
I am seeing a lot more placements this year though. I guess time will tell.

Yeah it's tough going , I think a lot of folks would have quit by now  I almost feel like 2021 is my first "proper" year as I got into a publisher last November that has seen my placements rocket and I've already had more placements in 2021 than 2016-2017-2018 & 2019 combined and if it carries on like this, there's every chance of beating my combined placements total for 2016-2020 during this calendar year.

Hey Mark,

Hope you get there, friend. If it were easy, more individuals would be doing it.

Thanks for sharing, Mark. I admire your perseverance. I'd say I'm on a similar trajectory as you in terms of output and earnings.

This one hit me where it hurts, lol.

That's great to hear. I hope you continue to see momentum as the placements pick up and it keeps you going on this journey. From my experience, a handful of placements on a heavily-aired show (looking at you, KUWTK) can account for a large chunk of your earnings for many quarters.
