No reply back from library..

Hi all,
About 2-3 weeks ago a library contacted me via email and was interested in signing my track that was forwarded from Taxi so I checked out the website and replied back that I would love to join your team. It has been 2-3 weeks and I haven't heard from them back. Other libraries that I have signed with sent me a contract the next day or two.

Did they change their mind?
Did my email end up in their spam?
Did they pack up and leave?
Too busy and haven't replied?

Just wanted to know if you have experienced this in the past and how I should deal with it. Shall I email them again or not?

In 2019, I received an email from a library that got forwarded a beatbox track, I replied to their email and waited and waited and waited... eventually I emailed them again after 2/3 weeks, and they replied that they decided to go with somebody else

I‘m pretty new (9 months) in the business but I learnd to be immensely patient and just keep going further. I signed a work for hire contract with a library on May first after a Taxi forward and since then…crickets…./2 other tracks got signed from another library in September after a Taxi forward in March….I‘m not even bothering & jus keep producing, submitting, forgetting and repeating! Good things come to those who wait (and in the meantime progress)

Yeah I am not waiting and already pitched my track to another library. This is a different scenario, they emailed me saying they want to sign my track and after replying "YES" I never heard back.
I think you are understanding that I have signed the track and waiting for a placement.

Hey Andre,
I'd send them a short, polite email to make sure your email didn't go to their spam folder.

And then again they may just be so busy pitching and sending out briefs that your song slipped their mind . Usually 2 weeks wait time is plenty for a library that has expressed interest in your song. Good luck and let us know what happens!
