Mp3 or wav Level view

Post by Rockinpop » Tue Nov 02, 2021 2:04 pm

I'm looking for an App or program that would allow me drop my mp3s or wav files into it, to view the levels... similar to the the way our submissions look on our TAXI page.
I'd like to see how they look before submitting my music onto TAXI.
Thanks,
Ron

I'm curious. Why?

Apart from making a private Soundcloud post, you can always upload them to Taxi and see the waveform display there before you submit it to a listing.

Several of my songs seem way too hot compared to other member's songs. I'm just trying to fine tune my process. Looking for more lower levels mixed in with peaks. Could be too much processing, although I like my songs to blend with others on the air, levelwise.

These kinds of visualisers definitely bump it up so it appears less dynamic than it would if you viewed the waveform in Soundforge or your DAW. I just uploaded a track to Taxi that looks like a dang brick even though the LUFS are lower than a lot of others.
