Instrumental cue for piano and orchestra

Last week, I was trying to write to a listing calling for sad piano and strings music. I couldn't come up with a lyrical melody, then I got sidetracked (so to speak) and ended up with this track which is nothing like what I started out to write. I would be grateful for comments, particularly whether it would work as a cue in its current state, assuming an appropriate listing became available.

I like it, Michael. I thought I heard some edit points in there, not in-your-face obvious, but there. It made me think of a carousel tune, only melancholy. Very nice! I think it'd work if the right listing came along.
