Comments please. Thank you, all!

DARK, DYSTOPIAN INSTRUMENTAL CUE COVERS of PUBLIC DOMAIN CHRISTMAS MUSIC are needed by a Music Library that’s always hustling and landing placements for TAXI members in TV Shows, Film projects, and Movie Trailers!
This Library is on the hunt for dark Instrumental Cues that could fit in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:
"Jingle Bells" by Myuu
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h_6aRAxcwU
"Silent Night" by Peter Gundry
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DXozZpLPlQ
"Carol of the Bells" by Lucas King
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URugFjhXHrs
Although one reference has lyrical vocals, please submit Instrumental only tracks. Some non-lyrical choral vocals are okay – think ahs, oohs, etc.
Please submit well-composed Instrumental Cue Covers of Public Domain Christmas Music that have a gritty, dystopian sound and vibe. Craft your Cues with eerie arrangements that create a sense of forward momentum and dynamics by layering instrumentation in and out as they progress. Orchestral or Orchestral Hybrid instrumentation with Christmas-y accents like glockenspiel, jingle bells, tubular bells, etc. would suit your submissions best. Please be sure your production and any virtual instruments or samples you use are high-quality and modern. Now is the time to bring out those super dark versions of holiday music that could send shivers down the listeners' spines!
IMPORTANT: Please double check to make sure the Songs you submit are truly Public Domain! In case you’re unsure if they are, here’s a link that will help:
Public Domain Christmas Songs
All submissions should be about 60 to 90 seconds long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Please do NOT copy the referenced examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This Library offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 Deal. This Music Licensing Company splits sync fees 50/50 with you. You must own or control your Master. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. Time permitting, someone from the Library may screen some or all of the submissions. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Friday, December 3rd, 2021. TAXI # S211203PD

Re: Silent Nightcap
It's good but the song that it's a cover of is barely recognizable. That may be a problem here. I had to listen a few times to check what song you were covering. I also would title it with the title of the song you are covering.

Re: Silent Nightcap
Casey,
It must be the context because the content is the exact melody from beginning to end of Franz Gruber's "Silent Night" melody. (also, in my title). Anyway, I greatly appreciate your time and comments. Thank you.
John

Re: Silent Nightcap
I have to admit I'm hearing it differently this morning, picking up Silent Night right away. Has it been changed, LOL? Or is it me needing fresh ears and coffee?
Not sure about the sound effects. Often they can be distracting. I do think the melody gets lost a little once the synth comes in. And it feels kind of unfinished at the end, like it just stops abruptly.
Good luck with it! Hope it's a forward!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Silent Nightcap
Hey John, nice start on this piece! I would suggest changing the background track, though, it's distracting and doesn't compliment the piece in my opinion. Also, the melody doesn't sound spooky enough to me, so I'd suggest using minor chords throughout rather than the major 7ths, which sound wistful but not dark or scary. Good luck with it! DK
