I got my first forward!...But it's from 1989.

Well, I finally got my first forward... which is good. But it's from a band I was in back in 1989. :-\ Pretty sure I can't sound like that any more.

I mean, I'll take it. But this old guy is struggling to come up with the kind of new-sounding stuff most of the listings seem to want.

I've gotten the songwriting tips book, and I'm working on improving my home recording skills.... we'll see how this goes.

Great news Barry, congrats!
Glad to hear you're making the necessary steps to improve your home recording skills, it may take a little time but your best asset is this forum, feel free to bounce ideas off of us and hopefully you will receive some help when needed, or ideas of how to further improve!
Also collaborating with fellow Taxi members could be a viable option!

Great news Barry,

Us old-timers got to prove we've still got some "juice in the tank"

I've not been here too long myself and only got my first forward last September.
It's a great feeling and (hopefully for us both) is the start of great things to come

Just think how rich you'd be if Taxi had existed in 1989??

I'm always up for a bit of collaboration - we could try and work out all this "modern" stuff
I think there's a Collaboration Corner on here somewhere.

I've got a few recordings I made on a 4 track back in 1984 and I've been asked (privately) if some can be used on an album. Problem is, 2 of the artists on the tracks died last year!!
No idea how to deal with that request!!
