Well, it seems like a simple thing; though it may take a little extra time.
BUT - having experienced improvement of 'difficult genres' to make sound right when mixing - (I won't limit it to the few that I do);
it seems to me it would/could GREATLY improve the probability of forwards, for those of you who pitch Instrumental Cues
to listings for which the client PROVIDES REFERENCE TRACKS.
If you were to grab at least one of them that you're aiming at - and A/B compare it with the composition you're gonna submit;
that, in addition to getting feedback on this P2P board... is a 'free' way to PRE-SCREEN your project before plopping down your 5 bux,
and hoping for a forward.
Just one more way to help train the ears.
2 cents, offered for free, from the cheap seats in
The Peanut Gallery.
Best of luck to you; HTH.
