Hi - I am wondering about sound/production elements for listing S220214MG
"FUTURE DISCO" POP SONGS with Female Vocals are needed by a Music Library with a great history of TV placements!
This Company really, really wants to find Songs that could work as a replacement for “Magic” by Kylie Minogue. https://youtu.be/I6ppy22-xvg
The thing is, Magic has lots of retro bits like tom drum rolls, synth stabs, strings, and the outro sounds like a tribute to the 70s.
My confusion is "how much do I risk being told my submission is too retro if I use similar elements" vs "how much of the retro sound is exactly what is needed for this submission".
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Tony.

Re: FUTURE DISCO?
Research.
Have you looked into Future Disco ? Listened to other artists and playlists. It's not a genre it's a record label. Maybe listen to it for a couple of days and let it sink in.
With most of these things you need to start out by making a contemporary track and then sprinkle it with dabs of retro ear candy. This way you can avoid sounding dated but still get the retro feel.
