Feedback Requested on Modern Hiphop Instrumental Cues
Hey all, curious to think if I'm getting close to the mark on TAXI # S220319HC - modern hiphop instrumental cues. Not familiar with the specifics of cue arrangement vs a traditional hiphop beat so if you have any thoughts on that, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Breakdown can be found here:
MODERN HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a global Music Licensing Company with a long, impressive list of placements in Film, TV, and Video Games!
NOTE: We previously ran this request as Dispatch Listing #D220216HN, but the Company didn't find what they were looking for, and they asked us to try again. If you submitted to listing #D220216HN, please send different material this time around.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This Company is BRAND NEW to requesting music from TAXI, so chances are you don’t have any material in their catalog yet! This is a great opportunity to create a new outlet for your music and begin a new relationship with an awesome company!
This Company is searching for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues that could be found on a playlist with the following references:
WARNING: The references may include graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.
"Get Into It (Yuh)" by Doja Cat
"Man In The Mirror" by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie
"Astronaut in the Ocean" by Masked Wolf
Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumental Cues only for this pitch.
Please submit well-produced Hip-Hop Instrumental Cues with memorable motifs, solid beats, slick arrangements, lots of great energy, and plenty of mainstream appeal. Craft your Cues around a singular motif and mood, and layer instrumentation in and out as they progress to create a sense of forward momentum and dynamics. Production in the general style of the references and others like them will suit your submissions best. Your instrumentation can vary but should stay firmly rooted in the Hip-Hop genre. Please be sure your production is polished and any virtual instruments and samples are high-quality and cutting-edge, as well.
NOTE: Do NOT submit any tracks with spoken producer tags/watermarks as they're not usable for film and TV placements.
All submissions should be between 90 seconds to 3 minutes long, give or take, and have buttoned/stinger endings. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This company offers an EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 deal. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Please do not send material for this pitch that has already been signed to other libraries or catalogs. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Saturday, March 19th, 2022. TAXI # S220319HC
thanks!

Hey!
Link isn't working..
Also if you can post a link to the examples and the whole listing, people will be more likely to give feedback.

Link works now
Sounds good man, nice vibe nice flow. I'm gonna have to give it a better listen later to be able to offer any real feedback other than I think it could be used for sync. I will have to give the examples a listen to see if it's suitable for the listing, but good job

This is a great track that could work as a 'chill trap' cue, but I think it may be a bit off target for this listing.

Re: Feedback Requested on Modern Hiphop Instrumental Cues
My guess is that this will get returned for not having a compelling melody, or sounding too much like an underscore. I got two returns for that... my cues were spot on as far as instrumentation goes, since when you listen to the three reference tracks they are incredibly simple... kick, snare, hats, maybe a single synth or sample chop. For cues the screeners want to hear some sort of melodic element that would replace the rap vocal you hear in the references. It's a subtle concept that I have not yet mastered as far as the screeners go. But for context, I've got dozens of trap placements on tv that have minimal to no melodic elements that the screeners seem to be looking for.
This is certainly a good groove that will find a home.

Hey man, it's in the right spirit, but just gets too repetitive. Once we've heard the first 15 sec, we've pretty much heard the whole thing. You've got the right idea by dropping out elements and bringing them in again, but try changing the drum pattern for added variety. Also, change those synth / pluck notes as well a few times. And throw in some edit points!
