Who else uses Maschine?

Post by glogleemusic » Thu Feb 10, 2022 9:24 am

I recently took the plunge and recently purchased this piece of production hardware. Here are a few thoughts...

I was hesitant for many years to buy another piece of gear. I know I haven't come close to getting the most out of all of my current setup. There's many reasons for that. Time mostly. Overwhelm is the other. I don't feel like there is enough time in a century to truly delve into all my VST and FX.

I have been loving Native Instruments for over a decade. But I kept using the same basic sounds and recording techniques.

Since buying Maschine, I have had a total change in perspective. I'm rediscovering sounds that were in my library that I never fully utilized.

I'm recording different beats and I'm completely revisiting sampling in a whole new light.

The learning curve wasn't that tough. And I like the way my overall writing has changed since I picked up this box.

Are there any other Maschine users out here?

I bought the Maschine MK3 Mikro last year during covid. Thought it would be cool to have a different way to create beats. I've used it less than an hour and have learned that I prefer the keyboard. It's for sale, so if anyone wants to buy it, let me know. New they are $250, I'll sell it for $200 plus shipping, it's mint.

I know what you mean Paulie. I keep flipping back and forth from my DAW and Maschine. When I want to clean the pipes if you will, I jump on MK3. When I have a project I want to do quickly I go back to familiar territory of Cakewalk.

I use Maschine Mikro Mk3. Not a lot but mostly in Midi mode to create Drum Beats with Groove Agent (love the pads). I've tried to compose with it but was not successful so far.
