Singer, Guitar player, Songwriter; Looking to go Pro
I play the electric guitar, sing, and write songs. I live in Alaska and have had several performing gigs, some opening for professional groups. I'd like to become a professional musician. Anyone looking for a singer, band member, or someone to help with a writing project? I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!

Keep doing what you are doing, play gigs when you can, and make sure you have a job that can pay your bills. "Becoming a professional musician" is a loaded phrase... the industry is more competitive and brutal than ever before. If you think you have the chops, record some tracks, get them online and start developing a social media following. Put videos on YouTube, get a Distrokid account and publish your music on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Figure out your genre, focus on your strengths and most of all, create as much music as you can. Figure out your niche and get to developing your social media presence. Would love to hear what you've got, post some of your music here and you will probably find some like minded people and potential collaborators that can help you get your career started.

Great advice! That is what I'm currently doing (minus the playing gig part).Paulie wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 9:57 amKeep doing what you are doing, play gigs when you can, and make sure you have a job that can pay your bills.
