Libraries and PRO Registrations
I have noticed that after signing cues to music libraries, it takes about 7 months for them to show up in my PRO catalogue. This is true for multiple libraries that I work with. Is this typical? Also, what happens if there is a sync placement before the cue is registered? Just curious, as I am fairly new to the sync licensing world.

Yeah sounds normal - some don't even register until a placement occurs.jefflaplante wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 7:30 amI have noticed that after signing cues to music libraries, it takes about 7 months for them to show up in my PRO catalogue. Re: Libraries and PRO Registrations
I have quite a few that are registered with the library's PRO, but do not appear in minejefflaplante wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 7:30 amI have noticed that after signing cues to music libraries, it takes about 7 months for them to show up in my PRO catalogue. Re: Libraries and PRO Registrations
Good question! I recently got in touch with my PRO, and asked to check those tunes and what was needed to do. They asked me to provide them with ISWC codes, which I did, and they were able to add them to their own database from the international one. Now, with regards to usages BEFORE this happened, that is another question...

The production company files a cue sheet. The cue sheet has the writers CAE/IPI number on it , the local PRO makes the collection and via reciprical agreement passes it along the writers PRO who pay the writer

Correct. Also, because the system is absolutely not bullet-proof, it would be better if one could get one's tunes in one's PRO database, as I did, at least for added peace of mindcosmicdolphin wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 7:14 amThe production company files a cue sheet.
