Feedback for space exploration instrumentals

Post by melodea » Sun Jul 31, 2022 1:31 am

Hi everyone

I'm writing for the below listing and looking for some feedback for the two tracks I'd like to submit. Thanks so much in advance!

SPACE EXPLORATION INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a great Music Library with lots of success in Film and TV placements for a variety of TV, Film, Promotional, and Advertising opportunities.

This Library is looking for compelling Instrumentals in the stylistic ballpark of the following references we got directly from them:

LIFE BEYOND II: The Museum of Alien Life (from 2:00 - 4:16)

LIFE BEYOND II: The Museum of Alien Life (from 4:16 - 6:18)

LIFE BEYOND II: The Museum of Alien Life (from 7:11 - 9:08)

LIFE BEYOND II: The Museum of Alien Life (from 0:43 - 2:00)

Send them well-produced Instrumentals with engaging motifs, tension building dynamics, and slick arrangements that could soundtrack films or TV shows about Space Exploration. Your instrumentation should incorporate elements of electronic, sound design, and/or organic/orchestral instruments. Please be sure your production is polished and any virtual sounds or samples you use are high-quality and cutting edge. Any virtual Orchestral instruments should sound like the real deal. Craft your pieces to have lots of forward momentum, dynamics, and interest by layering instrumentation in and out as they progress. Take a listen to how the references take the listener on a journey, and give them that!

All submissions should be about 2 to 4 minutes long (give or take) with non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

I don't feel qualified to provide helpful comments, Chris, but what a fun project!

Also, for those who may want to listen to the references, here's a link:

(I also enjoyed the YouTube video about potential alien life forms!)

Not much feedback from my end except giving my 2 thumbs up :)

Always a pleasure listening to your work and this one was also surprising as it is very different than ( what I perceive as ) your "comfort zone"!

Thanks, guys, and yes Owen it's not my comfort zone yet! On a first listen this genre sounds easy but once you dig in you realize it's far from easy! But I love the journey thru sounds and textures!
