Your arrangement was enjoyable and song is in PD. But, sound seemed more midi driven and over processed to me. (Just my humble opinion.) Maybe listen to quality of instrumentation presented in the referenced songs? Hope you keep working at it.

Right off the bat the bass patch sounds very distorted, and then the drums come in and they are very outdated sounding, almost like a metronome or cheap Casio. The mix is very muddy in places and could use some EQ work to clean up the frequency battles going on in the low end. The musical arrangement itself is fine, but the sounds and mix are not worthy of a forward.
