Coax Optical Interface

Post by CEMundt » Tue Sep 27, 2022 6:59 am

I have an older Roland VS-1880 hard disc 12-track recorder. The device is pre-USB, but it has digital outs and in. Specifically, it has S/PDIF specification will both Coax and optical digital jacks, two each for I/O.

I’m looking for an audio interface that has dedicated digital ins and outs to connect with the recorder. A USB would be preferred, but a PCIe card would be okay too. Either optical or coax, but coax is preferred. I don’t want to add another A/D to the mix. When I search, I see bidirectional converters, but no bidirectional interfaces.

Excuse me, I mean dedicated s/pdif interfaces. Yes, there are multi-format interfaces, but I’d rather go solo.

Most laptops today have a combo earphone/microphone headset port with left/right outputs for the earphones, but only a single mono microphone input. geometry dash lite
