Could This be A Smash Hit? (I Wanna Popsicle)
Wondering what you all thought of this song? I took inspiration from another musician who posts here often.

If you were to create an equally-brilliant 'dance step' (ie. Ginko-style)... and the dubious video...jefflaplante wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 5:20 pmWondering what you all thought of this song? I took inspiration from another musician who posts here often.

most assuredly you'd have a great chance at topping the 1B views on YouTube...
they eat this stuff up - like a Popsicle on a hot day!

PS: Michael and/or TAXI staff - if you're paying attention - this needs to be played at the Sunday Finale in the Grand Ballroom at the 2022 TAXI Road Rally...
it would get a standing ovation. (remember "Baby, Punch My Face"...?!)

Dangerously close to the ref track!

The vocals sound like they are in an adjacent key to the music, when actually the reference track vocals manage the trick of being harmonically unrelated.
Also, although the drums are suitably off kilter they are far too well mixed and I feel that I shouldn't be able to hear the kick and snare with as much clarity as you have here.
Other than that I think you more or less nailed the genre.

This is evil, but I have to agree with the Dolphinator. One thing tough, you did not nail the tropical feel your references usually have.

I did suggest that the musician should attempt to cover something as an exercise to see how his ears worked.
Hope he doesn't cover this smash hit
