Using forwarded songs elsewhere.
If a song was forwarded but you don’t hear back for a while is it acceptable to use that song else where and if you do hear back from the forwarded taxi track then just make more? Because I guess all you’re doing is making a connection to the library or supe, they don’t necessarily need that track.

Agreed, keep submitting.
However, be careful not to 'use' the track in ways that could encumber your track should you want to submit it for exclusive opportunities in future.

Graham (UK). Still composing a little faster than decomposing, and 100% HI.

I disagree. IF a library gets back to you, you can simply tell them that this particular track has been accepted elsewhere but that you are happy to create a similar one for them. I'd wait about a month after a before pitching the track elsewhere.

Re: Using forwarded songs elsewhere.
how long is "a while"?. . . that depends, you can somehow gauge it from the specifics of the brief (urgent or a cattle call), then base your decisions on your current status (starting out or established). this conundrum gets easier when you start dealing with libs directly and have multiple options at your disposal. but i agree with the majority since this is a forward, direct subs would be a different matter...
