Hello. I would appreciate some thoughts, feedback on this cue. No references were provided but I tried to stay with dramedy but also incorporated some other sounds.
Thanks

ATYPICAL DRAMEDY INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES WITHOUT PIZZICATO STRINGS are needed for a TAXI COMPILATION going directly to A WHOLE BUNCH of our favorite Music Licensing Companies and Ad Agencies for Film, TV, and Advertising placements!
We’re not giving references for this request, as we think they may be too limiting or misleading than helpful.
Please send us well-composed, atypical Dramedy Instrumentals (or Cues) created WITHOUT pizzicato strings. Your submissions can range on the Dramedy spectrum from playful, quirky, and mischievous to dark and somber, to just about anywhere in between! Whichever approach you choose to take, please be sure your pieces have memorable motifs, polished production, and a strong central theme with plenty of dynamics, interest, and forward motion. Your instrumentation can vary, but please do NOT use pizzicato strings in your arrangements. Essentially, we would like you to replace where you would typically hear pizz strings with alternative and unexpected instruments and build your pieces from there. There is a lot of room to get creative with this request since we are NOT searching for typical Dramedy Instrumentals and Cues, so think outside the box by changing up the cadences, rhythms, instrumentation, etc., to help give your pieces an added edge. Please be sure any virtual instruments or samples you use are high-quality and realistic-sounding, as well.
Our A&R team will have a simple mandate: Is it GREAT? Does it scream "Dramedy"? Does it sound ready to go as it is? Would it work well for placements in Film, TV, and Advertising? Would TAXI's clients be happy to hear this on the playlist we send them? The bar will be high for this request.
All submissions should be about 2 to 4 minutes long for Instrumentals and roughly 90 seconds to 2 minutes for Cues, give or take. Do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ Songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.
Because the selected music will be going directly to many different Music Licensing Companies, deal terms may vary. However, since some of the Companies are EXCLUSIVE Libraries, we ask that the Instrumentals (or Cues) you pitch for this request are NOT already signed with other Companies or Catalogs. That includes any monetization or publishing administration deals with online distributors like CDBaby, TuneCore, etc. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Instrumentals and/or Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, December 15th, 2022. TAXI # S221215CM

Re: atypical Dramedy cue feedback requested
This is a very fun cue, but I'm not getting "dramedy" out of it. It sounds more like a fun Latin tango almost. Very good music, but not what I think they are looking for.

Thanks for the reply and for the time listening and providing feedback. I compose this for a acoustic guitar dramedy request a while back but I was concerned it wasn't dramedy enough. You pretty much confirmed that for me. Thanks Paulie
