Edit Points

Post by Burnzy » Fri Jan 20, 2023 8:11 pm

For those used to creating 30 and 60 second versions or edit points do you have a system or any tips for getting the timing right? Set a marker, use a timer? Map out according to BPM?

Its always worth searching the forums here because you might get the answers you need right away. This was just a few weeks ago...
30-and-60-second-cuts-query-first-time- ... 50211.html
.... and there will be many more.

If you go to Taxi TV on Youtube and search there for edit points you'll find lots of video info...

I make mine from the main Wav file. You get a knack for it, splicing in the right spot.

Having edit points in your original track helps quite a bit as does dressing the starts and ends of all the edit points with a little rise / hit

At the end of the day I don't worry too much about whether it makes complete musical sense because I've heard what they've done in some of my placements where they have just totally butchered the cue to fit.

Thanks for the link! Dunno how I missed that thread. Must have been while I was out with the flu.

Thanks. Right from the Wav!!! I can butcher it before they do.
