Childrens Lullaby Deal
Hi,
I'm delighted to have received my first deal through a Taxi forward.
It was for a submission for lullaby versions of Bond film theme tunes.
My version of 'A View to a Kill' was forwarded in November and I was contacted a week or so ago and the deal is now done.
The great news is that they've also taken two others!
It's not so much the deal itself as the recognision that I'm not completely wasting my time, and maybeI have got some recognisable talent after all.
Here's a private link to 'A View to a Kill':

Thanks Taxi,
Matt

Congrats ! That's a pretty niche genre right there , plenty of great songs to choose from though. I think I would have done the Chris Cornell track You Know My Name

Great job Matt! Duran Duran will be shaken but maybe not stirred .
Best of luck for many more deals now you're off the mark.

Thanks. Yes, that Chris Cornell track is pretty wild. Would make a very interesting childrens lullaby!
I decided against massive tracks like 'Goldfinger' and 'Diamonds are Forever' because I thought a lot of people would do those.
Hopefully, in the unlikely event that anyone from Duran Duran does ever hear it, they will be stirred rather than shaken, although they would probably fall asleep
The other two lullabies they took were 'The Living Daylights' and 'We Have All the Time in the World'. It seemed sacriledge but at least these versions were totally different and did bring out the great melodies.
