Hey All,
Looking for some feedback on this track I did for the TAXI Stomp/Clap listing that's running right now. My first venture at a stomp clap, but not rock tunes. I still need to do some mastering work to clean up some 60 cycle hum but I'm really looking for some feedback on structure, the level of interest it keeps, and your thoughts on the stomp clap sounds (not sure I'm happy with them yet.) TIA!

Current-sounding Rock instrumentation that falls in the general wheelhouse of the references will suit your submissions best. Your production and any virtual instruments or samples you use should be high-quality and cutting-edge, as well.
Submissions should be about 2 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best for this pitch. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Broadcast Quality is needed.
The specific deal points will be handled on a case-by-case basis. You must own or control your Master and Composition to submit to this opportunity. Re: Feedback for some Stomp/Clap Rock
I can hear what you're going for but I have a few thoughts on the track so far that I hope might help.
The guitar part is too loose (timing-wise), so the 16th 'chuckas' ahead of the downbeat confuse the groove and dilute the impact of the massive kick. For maximum thud and feelgood groove it needs to be really tight so that you sense the air just before that downbeat. I also think it would help to have a more in-your-face heavy guitar sound with much less reverb. Finally, cram loads of layers on the kick and claps to make them as big as possible. Keep the most prominent elements on the nail, but here's where you can smear the lesser layers around the timing a little to get that huge-ness. Good luck!
