Hey Doug!
I'd say it's right on, not a genre I've attempted before, so I don't know the nuances to look out for, but your track is cleaner and brighter than the references which I think is a good thing, also more engaging, good tempo and feel. The structure, sounds, melody and mix all seem spot on to me. Great job overall. I wouldn't mind hearing a quick snare roll at the end to help wrap it up, but I don't think that would make or break it. Yeah man, great job!

What's up Erik! Thanks so much for taking time to listen and write! I hear what you're saying about snare at the end -- I will try that out and see how it sounds, great idea.

Thanks again for your help!
Doug

Would love any feedback on this Happy/Clappy cue before submitting tonight
Chimes sound painfully bright. EQ that down.
Uke at the intro also sounds painfully bright with upper-end artifacts. EQ that down.
Overall way too compressed for my taste.
I bet it is a forward as-is.

I agree that the chimes are a little bright and could be toned down a bit. You don't want them to feel piercing. Minor tweak.

Okay -- good feedback, I'll make some revisions.

Thanks very much for listening so closely and taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it.
