Potential AI Music Legal Issues with Attorney, Ben McLane on Monday's TAXI TV!

7pm Eastern (EDT) / 6pm Central (CDT) / 4pm Pacific (PDT) / 12am London (BST) / 9am Sydney (AEST)

Dear Songwriters, Artists, and Composers,

Michael is out of the office this week, but he recently recorded this interview with veteran music attorney, Ben McLane, looking at potential legal issues with music created by Artificial Intelligence.

Is your music going to train a computer to create new music? Who will get paid? How will they get paid? It's the Wild West out there, and once again, tech could outpace legislation. Don't miss this discussion!

Click the link below to watch on Monday at 4 PM Pacific!

Michael and the TAXI TV Team

Cool! 8-) We just had some more discussions on that:

"Can I submit AI rap? (I won't!)" topic150689.html

"CTWF rules for the fair use of AI voice clones and AI-generated lyrics" topic150692.html

Great! A much needed and timely discussion! :D

I wonder if he'll say that some guy on the Taxi forum named CTWF has been incessantly posting about using an AI generated rap voice and... "This one's for you, Tom"!

This is a double post, but relevant here, in case ML reads this or Mr. McLane:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7MIFiKZjuro

This guy says ghostwriter did not pull the song ("Heart On My Sleeve") because of AI Drake and AI TheWeeknd, but because he had Metroboomin's tag on it, i.e. used his likeness. He also claims that neither UMG nor the streaming services pulled it. Sounds almost as if it was OK to use an AI voice clone of a star as long as it is properly marked.

True, or not?
