I don't really get a Stranger Things vibe, it doesn't sound 80s analog synthish enough to me. As far as working as a tv cue, I think it starts out too soft, had to check my speakers at the beginning to make sure I was connected. There is not much of a developmental arc, it stays the same as far as melody or motifs go. Also, never do long fade endings if you are targeting tv use.
I think you can build on this by adding one or two more synths or percussive elements. You get a better shape and develop more interest by doing this. Drag a Stranger Things track into your DAW and then try to recreate it, it is very eye opening to learn when instruments are added and removed.
