I’ve put in a request for leave at the company I work for so I can fly over from Dubai and attend my first RR. I won’t find out until early September if my leave will be approved. Should I book the hotel anyway, in case it fills out? I’m not sure what the refund policy is yet though. Could be a gamble either way.

Yes, book the hotel! Rooms at the Taxi Rally rate get sold out fast. You can cancel up to 24-48 hours before as with most major hotels here. Hope to see you there! :D

…. And done! Hotel booked. I really hope and pray I can get the leave for this. I’ll be jet lagged as heck (12h time zone shift - beat that!) but I know it’ll be worth it.

I joined Taxi at the end of 2019, just weeks (days!) before the you-know-what arrived on our shores. Bummer.

I booked a room just now; hope my resolve stands firm and I don't chicken out before I get a airline reservation booked. :roll:

As an aside, has anyone here had experience with Spirit Airlines? They are much cheaper than Delta. Comments?

Very happy to say that my leave has been approved for me to come to my first Road Rally. :D Thanks to Casey’s advice, room booked already! See you/meet you there 8-)
