My old-guy ears hear John Lennon all over this track.
That's probably not helpful though, eh?

70's singer songwriter MOR/AOR - Not sure I fully agree with Funsongs comparison though, the comping piano intro and vocal reverb ( which needs to be done better BTW ) are a little Lennon-esque maybe but that's as far as it goes for me.

Is it licenesanble ? If it was better produced and mixed to broadcast quality you might still be struggling as it's a retro /throwback sound and most TV music is contemporary. They do still use music that sounds like yesteryear though for shows and movies set in the past, it's usually diegetic i.e. source music from a Jukebox or a car radio in the scene so you can "never say never" but you can probably say "not all that often"

If you find you need to keep asking what genre your tracks are then you probably have it backwards to how most successful folks work for Taxi and Sync in general. We should absoloutely 100% know what we're aiming for before we start because there is a brief and a bunch of reference tracks to guide us. Whilst we dont always hit the bullseye the one thing we should know as a bare minimum is the genre we're working in even if we wind up off target in the end.
