if you sync a song with an exclusive license that is an instrumental can you sync the same song with the vocals with another library or use on your personal album?

Please elaborate what you mean by “sync a song with an exclusive license”.

It sounds like you’re referring to signing a song to an exclusive library rather than syncing a song. But I’m not sure.

Not quite sure on your terminololgy here but basically the answer is no. When you sign a song to an Exclusive library they will want the vocal and the instrumental, as they are part of the same work.

+1 What he said.
As far as whether you can use on a personal album, streaming, etc., that varies from one exclusive library to another. Some only consider it exclusive only as far as sync and you can still release as pure audio. Others have full exclusivity and you can't do anything else. You have to look at the contract and usually ask.
