Fife and Drum feedback please

Post by bmoBauhaus » Sat Jan 06, 2024 8:09 am

Looking for feedback on my track. The reference didn't seem like they had edit points but were more march like so I modeled it after that. Any thoughts on this?

Here is the listing:
Several PATRIOTIC, MILITARY FIFE/MARCHING BAND INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a European Music Licensing Company with lots of Film/TV placements. They need some great new tracks to meet the increased demand in this genre!

NOTE: We previously ran a similar request, as TAXI Listing # D231130MR, and the Company would like to hear more. If you submitted to listing # D231130MR, please send different material this time around.

This Library is looking for several Instrumentals (and/or Cues) in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

"Medal of Honor" by Gabriel Saban & Philippe Briand

"Fife and Gun" by The Prague Philharmonic Orchestra

"When Johnny Comes Marching Home" by The West Point Band

NOTE: You can submit either Public Domain Cover Instrumentals/Cues and/or Original compositions, as long as they match the tone and style heard in the references.

Please send in well-crafted Instrumentals and/or Cues with a patriotic sound and style that feature Fife/Marching Band performances! Your submissions should have authentic-sounding motifs, dynamic arrangements, and marching band-style rhythms. Instrumentation that's in the general wheelhouse of the references will work best for this pitch, as long as they feature the Fife as a lead instrument. Live instrumentation is recommended, but if you choose to use virtual instruments or samples, please make sure they are realistic and high-quality sounding.

Your submissions should be roughly 90 Seconds long for Cues, and about 2 to 4 minutes long for Instrumentals, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Please do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, texture, and tone. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the Instrumentals and/or Cues you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with any other Companies or Catalogs. Any sync fees will be split 50/50 with the Company. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Masters and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Instrumentals and/or Cues as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. TAXI # S240109FF
