Best mp3 converter?

I keep reading here how many of you load refs onto a track in your DAW to use as a template. Any suggestions on where to look for the best converter? I just tried one that appeared to be free but quickly found out that I had to shell out $50 in order to convert a YouTube video to audio that I could load into Logic.

I've used CloudConvert a few times, very easy, many options of different file conversions, never had a problem.

I have also used Cloud Convert to change WAV files to MP3 as well... seems to work ok... and if I can do this - Anyone can!!

I created a loopback channel in my audio interface and in Logic I create a stereo audio track with the input set to my loopback channel (11-12). Then hit record and play the YouTube and the audio gets recorded in Logic.
