Vintage Listings
I occasionally see some Listings for Vintage Rock Songs. In the description it states, “Make sure your Songs were actually recorded between 1978 and 1986, otherwise this company cannot use them.” My question is why are songs, in the style they are looking for, not accepted if they were recently recorded?

Re: Vintage Listings
I wonder that as well! I have seen that some listings allow for songs that SOUND from that era as an option as well (not just the old recordings), but sometimes they are exclusive to that era. I'm guessing it has something to do with uhhh copyrights? Maybe some weird rules? Or they're being real sticklers for legitimacy? WE WANT ANSWERS!

Re: Vintage Listings
Because the songs are needed for films/tv shows set in the past and they won't sound authentically of the era in question if they are recent recording- and yes...you can tellLinderAveBand wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 3:31 pmMy question is why are songs, in the style they are looking for, not accepted if they were recently recorded?
