I thought maybe there would be a slight chance this riff wasn't ever used before. I wrote this song for my grandson (23) who had to leave his girlfriend to find work in Texas. He needs to get more hours of flight time to get fly commercial jets. I wrote this song in E and then found out he can't sing that high especially the chorus. I had to settle on a C progression. Well hitting that open E had a real punch, but not the C. Daytripper, pretty woman, hey baby etc were all in E.
The boy is like most these days, not very driven. He likes the song but hasn't stepped up to sing it. So typical. Anyway I don't sing that low stuff so well. Just still wonderin about that riff. Peace yawl
