Well, I drive a cab in New York City
I’ve seen a lot while on this job
Sunrise on the sea, painting Lady Liberty
I’ve been in wrecks and I’ve been robbed

But several years back there’s somethin’ that I saw
Even now it leaves me in awe

It was scary beautiful
Wonderful and divine
Something conceived, only God can achieve
Like a heavenly sign
Breathtaking and incredible
It was scary beautiful

I was on the Brooklyn Bridge in August
Horns were blarin’, people cussin’, it was blazin’ hot
Pregnant lady in the back, fender-bender up ahead
That bridge was like a parkin’ lot

When that lady started screamin’ for help
I felt Someone far above myself

It was scary beautiful
Wonderful and divine
Something conceived, only He can achieve
Like a heavenly sign
Breathtaking and incredible
It was scary beautiful
