Hi Chris,
Like Telefunkin said, I also felt the piece would benefit from more low-end to make it more epic. I'm thinking of Baritone & Tuba with an icing of French horns and Cello with Double bass for that embracing drone. Juxtapose steady low-end lines with articulate information, perhaps in rhythmic unison with the high strings.
