Re: Library Responses to Forwards: A series of questions
I was once contacted before I even got the email that the songs were forwarded. But yea, it varies from seconds to days to weeks to months to years to never.

4. The quality of the sounds and production could be improved especially stuff like Hip Hop where it's widely used. Make sure you A/B reference your track against the ones in the listing to check if you're in the ballpark.
To Mark's point - Now THIS is a biggie, and I have recently started to take it even further by loading up even more reference tracks either by the same artist, or that would sit alongside in a playlist - Not for structure so much, but EQ Curve, Production values, etc. I feel that production quality is becoming more and more important in Sync, even if it is underscore.... Competition is fierce!!

Thank You that definitely helps. Thank you for the insight. I will definitely take into account everything you said. THANK YOU THANK YOUcosmicdolphin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 1:50 amHope that helps. You might want to look into something like Sync Academy as there are tutorials on all this sort of stuff that's specific to this industry.MelleMelCreations wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 12:54 amIts all good thanks for the reality check. I didn't think the title would really make a difference.... as you see most of my stuff is 1-2 wordscosmicdolphin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 1:50 amI had a quick listen to some of the tracks on your YouTube channel and there's probably a few things you can do to improve your chances.MelleMelCreations wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 12:54 amIts all good thanks for the reality check. 1. The track titles didn't really give me any idea what to expect from the cue. For example you have one called "Strummin'" ....anyone looking at that would have expected a guitar track but it's an Orchestral piece
the earlier stuff is really bad. I learned so much in just how to mix, master the songs. I'm debating on going back and redoin stuff using whatever I learned since making it. Do you think that's worth the time?
I really think my mastering was HORRIBLE in the beginning... I'm hoping to find someone to like train me on mastering.... its hard to find enough people to split up every piece of the puzzle.
YT only does so much.

Choosing the right title in sync licensing is crucial. Titles often serve as the first impression of your track. A compelling or descriptive title can grab attention and increase the chances of your track being selected by the editor.MelleMelCreations wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 4:52 pmI didn't think the title would really make a difference.... as you see most of my stuff is 1-2 words
If it doesn't match the title then they will pass over the track and look for something else.
No, I would just make new music and apply what you've learned to that. The best way to learn is to do somethng consistently. Write and mix 100 tracks in a year and by the end of the year everything you do will improve and you will be faster.MelleMelCreations wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 4:52 pmthe earlier stuff is really bad. Get Ozone and use it's mastering assistant , it will get you 80-90% of the way thereMelleMelCreations wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 4:52 pmI really think my mastering was HORRIBLE in the beginning... Have a look here. Sign up and you'll get access to a lot of great material for free and see songs in various styles being mixed and mastered. Their full training courses are costly but you can get a long way on the free material before even considering whether you need any more.MelleMelCreations wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 4:52 pmI really think my mastering was HORRIBLE in the beginning... I am currently enrolled in their flagship Mixing/Mastering and Production Course and can vouch for this company - they are AMAZING. Like Graham pointed out, they offer a ton of free content on the site, you just have to sign uptelefunkin wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 4:08 amHave a look here.
