I'm writing this album now going after a certain 80's pop sound. It's been turning out not sounding like anything I know. I'm mostly happy with it but I really don't know if it belongs to a genre.
I'm pursuing a balance between something with commercial potential without being contrived, steering away from predictable song structure and cheap catchy repetitions. I want something that makes me proud to perform to an audience thousand times.
What do you think? Your opinions?
