Hi all,
New to the forums. I've gotten some feedback that some of my tracks sound like worktapes, and I think it's absolutely true, so I'm hoping some of you with more musical experience might have some guidance.
I usually record tenor ʻukulele or midi keyboard (Lauchkey49) and then record vocals on an AT2050 condenser mic. I edit the tracks in Logic Pro myself and then use Waves online mastering. I watch online tutorials etc. but still don't feel confident mixing, as I often go by what I think sounds good without fully understanding the processes.
I would pay for mixing & mastering if I could send a Logic project to someone and have that done for a reasonable price. I also would really like to have more elaborate recordings of a few songs if I knew where to find affordable work-for-hire producers. I leased a few BachBeats tracks that I really liked, but the fine print made me too afraid to use them in the end.
I have no dreams of being a producer and am really just doing so out of necessity. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I would post a track or two on the peer to peer page so we can zero in on what's not working.
