Song Structures That Sell (2024 Rally)

Once again at the rally this year, I'll have the pleasure of teaching "Song Structures That Sell", a class on writing songs with the structures that make successful songs. It's a fun class in which I play hit/known songs and discuss verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, post-chorus, etc. We zero in on things like sectional contrast, lyrical development, and build. It's hard to describe in words but this is not your typical lecture. We spend most of the time listening and enjoying songs while folks learn the techniques for themselves. I even learn something new every year from the class!

This class is especially recommended for beginners and those with some experience, but I think everyone can get something out of it. Hope to see some of you there Saturday 9:15 - 10:30 AM. BYOC (Bring Your Own Coffee)
