Special thanks to cosmicdolphin who suggested I remix the drums from the original version to better suit this listing! :D
HAUNTING ALT/INDIE SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed for an (up to) $1,500 placement by a Film Producer for an upcoming Independent Feature Film that’s currently in post-production!

This Film's Producer is looking for Songs that could work as a replacement for the Chromatics version of "Sound of Silence", which is currently temped in:

"Sound of Silence" performed by the Chromatics

They're NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, style, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!

NOTE: This Film Producer is NOT looking for Covers of "Sound of Silence." They are looking for ORIGINAL tracks that embody a similar sound, style, and vibe as this version of "Sound of Silence" as performed by the Chromatics.

Please submit well-crafted Alt/Indie Songs with a haunting, introspective sound, ethereal melodies, and atmospheric textures. Soft rhythms, nuanced arrangements, and evocative motifs are all essential here. Instrumentation should generally align with the overall aesthetic of the reference, featuring elements such as soft synths, delicate percussion, layered soundscapes, etc. Please ensure any virtual instruments or samples used are high-quality and genre-appropriate. Your compositions should evoke a reflective and captivating mood, with simple yet profound arrangements that resonate on a deep, emotional level. Expressive and well-performed vocals (Male or Female) with soft, mesmerizing deliveries are needed.

Pro Tip: It's often a good idea to match (or be very close to) the tempo of the song that's currently temped in. It can make it easier for the film's editor to place it and can create a sense of familiarity and "comfort" for the person making the final decision as to which song gets selected.

Lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity could make your Songs easier to place. Please do NOT copy the referenced artist or song in any way, shape, or form. Use it as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

AI ALERT: This company does not accept or sign music that has been lyrically or melodically composed using generative AI, nor does it accept backing tracks, full instrumental tracks, or vocal performances created with AI.

The license fee for this placement is (up to) $1,500, depending on the ultimate use. This is a Direct-to-Film Producer placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Copyright and Master Recordings, plus you’ll also get 100% of the License Fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Copyright and Master Recordings to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024. TAXI # S241113DS

Hi Casey,

The track is impressive! Ricochet is a fresh idea. Enjoyed it. Good luck with a placement.
