And then vilified
Falsely accused and then tried
As if that wasn’t enough,
He proved himself tough
When he almost died

They claimed he was gone forever
But against all odds
He returned
Stronger than ever

They said it’s
The greatest comeback in history
A tale of hope and power
The people’s finest hour
A crazy mystery
The greatest comeback in history

O but as great as it was
It’s not nearly the greatest because

He was rejected
And then vilified

He proved Himself tough
When he was crucified

They claimed he was gone forever
But with help from God
He’ll return
Stronger than ever

They’ll say it’s

A tale of faith and power
The Good Lord’s finest hour
A holy mystery
The greatest comeback in history

Ev’ry eye will see Him
Then His Kingdom will begin
