- Click on "My Profile" at the top right of the Taxi.com page (a drop down menu under your user name).
Do not click the "View Public Profile" link in the right menu of your profile page, it does not have the edit feature needed to get the link. - Click on the pencil icon at the far right of the track you want to share. This is the Edit feature.
- Make sure the "Public" checkbox is selected. If not, select it then save your track (scroll down to find the "Update" button at the bottom of the page).
- To get a shareable link, find the "Share with Collaborators" icons at the bottom left of the track display.
- Click the first icon on the left, it is a link icon. Click the OK button to close the popup.

How To Get A Link To Share Music From Your Taxi Profile Page
How do you get a publicly shareable link to the music you upload to your Taxi profile page? This question comes up a lot.

I have been doing exactly what you're telling me to do again and again and again for more than half an hour with no results.
PLEASE do not make me hurl my laptop out the window.
Why isn't it working?

I have tried this too with no results. Maybe because I have a Mac?

Yo Paulie... I get the public thingy... However - I do not get how to "get a shareable link,(find the "Share with Collaborators" icons at the bottom left of the track display)... Where it says "Share with Collaborators"... which it does... there are no icons around it for any of my public tunes... I am on My personal profile page - not public profile... How do I engage those icons that are supposed to be around the "Share with Collaborators" sentence??? Am I missing a step somewhere? Please and Thank You!!

I don't even bother, I just use a disco link. I do think most of us should have a disco account anyway, it's the most professional way to share music with libraries, supervisors, etc. www.disco.ac ... It costs $10/month but well worth it. You can use a free soundcloud account but it comes with a lot of baggage-- ads, ripping tracks, etc.
Best,
Casey

I don't get why Taxi doesn't do something to make this as easy as soundcloud or disco. It doesn't seem like they give much of a shit about the user experience. It's not rocket science, yet this system they have results in people posting way more links that don't work than ones that do, and then having to ask for help or search for old posts on the forum explaining the many steps.

While I don't agree with the way the previous poster expressed his frustration, I do agree with the suggestion of doing something about the problem as it happens every few days and doesn't help anybody. It probably puts people off bothering, and as we can see from the previous post it can give the impression that Taxi don't care.
Perhaps making it easier to get right would help, and also ensuring all new subscribers to the forum are presented with the instructions on how to post links to their tracks.
Finally, there should be an emoticon for 'link not working!!'.
Just joking about that last one ..... maybe .
