Paul, you're a genius! YES!!! Looks like that initial chapter marker of 0:00:00 is what triggers them to show up on the timeline, and then it takes a handful of hours for YouTube's processing to apply them to the video.

I'll go back in today or tomorrow and fix that on the rest of my videos where I used chapter markers. TAXI FORUMS FOR THE WIN!!!!

And yes, Paul, you're right about that non-exclusive song. I SHOULD have all the rights to even the YouTube money, but it looks like some of these non-ex companies got up to some funny business and registered these all with Google's music fingerprinting so they could take the YouTube ad revenue. Since there can be only one entity to collect money on behalf of the music when it comes to YouTube ad revenue, what we've got is a situation in which a non-exclusive company took the exclusive rights for this.

It's incredibly frustrating - but maybe it was part of the contract I signed.... I dunno. I'll have to dig back into my files to find the contracts. I've never had to worry about this until now (15 years into the business, lol), so maybe it's all on the up & up. But I have a feeling this was done behind my back, which will leave a very bad taste in my mouth if that proves to be the case!

Hey everyone! I just finished up a little 3-part series on my YouTube channel about the Taxi experience (why I credit my entire career to them, how to increase your odds of success, and how to maximize your membership). I'll embed them below. If you're on the fence about joining Taxi, or are beating your head against a wall as a current member, OR are a former member who quit out of frustration, there might be a little something in here that makes you go, "oh man, I wish I'd done THAT!"

I've been a member for over 16 years now, and have been to 12 or 13 Road Rallies, and I credit Taxi for ALL of my success. And truly, if I can make a career out of this sync composition business, then you can too!

I hope you enjoy!!

(Oh, and subscribe to my channel while you're there, if you found the videos useful, helpful, and / or motivational!)

I think your channel is great Matt! I have shared the link with a bunch of folks in my Audio Engineering program (The Reverse Engineer from mastering.com) Hopefully you gain some more subs out of it!
